Things that come to mind when you think of the 21st century:
Mcdonalds, technology, people constantly working, no rest, facebook, ipods, cellphones, no connection due to technology, lost relationships, new inventions, breakthroughs in medicine, people constantly creating, the need for everything to happen right now, no patience, strive for perfection, materialism, superficial(ness), nano technology, svedka robot, immersion of human and machine, animal extinction, "I", reality t.v, people magazine,

21st Century Man/Woman:
Hardworking, incharge, relies on technology, arragant, robotic, egotistic, confident, strong, doesnt give up, will do whatever it takes to reach his/her goal, their own boss, materialistic, alpha male/female, money, looks down on people not as succesful as them ,driven, motivated, stressed out, pushy, demanding, high standards, potential, must reach their potential, goal orientated, immersed in technology, failed relationships, careers with high divoce rates, desginer labels,

Pitching Ideas

          Okay, I'm thinking of people in a circle all facing away from each other all using different sorts of electronics. Some listening to iPods, texting while next to each other with their cell phones, playing handheld gaming devices, using laptops, etc. Or, instead of multiple people, it can all be one person with many hands using all sorts of these electronic devices at once. It might not be original though, so I'll think of more...
          Maybe a person made of these electronics. Their limbs can be wrapped with broken iPod earbuds, their eyes can be fake digital cameras, their mouth and ears can be cell phones, and more things I can't think of right now. Or, maybe a mother cradling her newborn child that is made of electronics. These might seem a bit lame, but that's what I think of when I think of 21st Century Humans.
          

Ideas for the 21st Century Sculpture Project

I think we should have something that incorporates man and technology since everyone uses cellphones, computets, tv"s, etc. I think that if we did that we would come up with something almost robotic looking.
Other things we could include:
- something that shows how in todays world everything is done at a ridiculously fast pace. There is fast food, fast internet, you can access someone almost immediatly 50 different ways, and just the idea that when people want something done they want it done right away.
- brand name items vs. Generic items. Everyone wants what has the label on it
